JBACE 2018-2023 Strategic Plan
The JBNQA Territory is subject to diverse pressures as a result of the expansion of human occupation and the development of its natural resources. It is recognized that the institutions and procedures stemming from the JBNQA contribute to ensuring the participation of the Cree in decisions and in the protection of the Territory and of Cree rights.
From a strategic perspective, the application of the Section 22 environmental and social protection regime amounts to respecting its guiding principles that are the lens through which the Committee must conduct all of its activities. The JBACE is committed to ensure that all of its activities, recommendations, and advice will promote the respect of these principles over the course of the 2018-2023 period.
