The James Bay Advisory Committee on the Environment (JBACE) is the preferential forum established by Section 22 of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA) to oversee its environmental and social protection regime. To do so, the JBACE analyzes issues that may affect the environment or the communities in the Territory, advises the governments concerning the formulation of policies, laws and regulations, and facilitates dialogue between stakeholders
